WHITE SALMON, WA, August 18th, 2021 –Sagetech Avionics Inc., has been named as the 1st place winner of the XCELLENCE Award for Technology, Enabling Components & Peripherals by the Association for Unmanned Vehicles Systems International (AUVSI) for its MX12B micro IFF transponder. Sagetech was selected from a pool of accomplished applicants for their work in unmanned systems technology. Winners were publicly congratulated during the Technology Innovation XCELLENCE awards ceremony during AUVSI XPONENTIAL on Wednesday, August 18.
Sagetech’s next-gen MX12B micro transponder is the only miniature Mode 5 IFF transponder certified to the full DoD AIMS Mk XIIB specification. It packages Mode 5, Mode S, and complete ADS-B In and Out capability in a SWaP that is at least 93% smaller and 6x lighter than comparable certified military Mode 5 IFF transponders.
